At ProVision Eyecare, we are proud to offer the most cutting-edge technology while maintaining the traditional spectacle and contact lens care that optometry is so skilled at providing.

GLASSES: We inventory a large selection of high quality frames in many different price ranges. Our dispensing technicians can assist the patient in selecting the best lenses for their lifestyle. This may include thinner, lighter lenses for high prescriptions as well as lenses to reduce glare and decrease harmful UV ray transmission.

CONTACT LENSES: We routinely prescribe contact lenses for patients that have traditionally been "hard to fit." This includes people with varying degrees of near-sightedness and far-sightedness, bifocal wearers and patients with large amounts of astigmatism. We utilize diagnostic (trial) lenses to ensure that we have the best contact lens for each patient before they actually purchase lenses. Many lenses are kept in stock right in our office.

OCULAR DISEASE: Our doctors are highly trained in the areas of ocualr disease (glaucoma, corneal dystrophies, macular degeneration, cataracts, etc) and the ocualr manifestations of systemic diseases (diabetes, hypertension, autoimmune disorders, etc.)/ Because we screen all of our patients for these conditions, most patients feel that they have received the most thorough eye exam they have ever had. We utilize the newest technology including Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Pachymetry, automated perimetry and fundus photography.

OCULAR EMERGENCIES: When a patient has an ocular emergency, our doctors are avaiable day or night. They are capable of handling infections, foreign body removal, trauma and anything else unexpected that may arise. In the event of a retinal detachment or other situation that requires surgical intervention, we will arrange for the patient to see the most qualified specialist in the most efficient manner.

LASER VISION CORRECTION: We are excited to be affiliated with Dr. Stephen Wexler and TLC of St. Louis. Dr. Wexler is a highly skilled LASIK surgeon who has performed over procedures. Because we are a co-managing office, much of the pre-op testing and all of the post-op visits are done right in our office. Patients shouldn't hesitate to ask our staff about laser vision correction. One of our doctors and two of our technicians have had it done!

CATARACT SURGERY: We work closely with the surgeons of American Eye Institute for cataract surgery and other ophthalmic procedures. Our patients are able to have the surgery evaluation and pre-op measurements done in our office by Dr. Gregory Hayden of American Eye Institute doctors. After cataract surgery, our optometrists perform all follow-up exams. The surgeons are able to perform many procedures such as laser capsulotomies and minor skin/lid surgery right in our office.
